Narrative:
On ground at dfw with another aircraft blocking taxiway er on runway 35L, tower quickly asked us if we could accept eq. We said yes as we verified we had correct numbers for that intersection departure. Both the first officer and I are nearly certain we heard tower say roger taxi into position and hold at eq. Just as we did so we noticed tower clear a cargo jet to go around because he was on a 3 mi final for runway 35L. There was a long pregnant pause, I think as he realized what he had done. He never indicated to us we had done anything wrong. We were subsequently cleared for takeoff. Because we are not 100% certain we heard the position and hold clearance we felt this report was warranted. Next time I won't let them rush me. Supplemental information from acn 369299: the tower then cleared us for takeoff. The captain and I both feel that the tower did clear us into position.

Title: FLC OF AN S80 AT DFW BELIEVES THEY HEAR THE CLRNC TO TAXI ONTO RWY AND AN ACFT ON FINAL EXECUTES A GAR. BOTH FLC MEMBERS BELIEVE THEY HEARD THE TWR CLR THEM ONTO THE DEPARTING RWY.
Narrative: ON GND AT DFW WITH ANOTHER ACFT BLOCKING TXWY ER ON RWY 35L, TWR QUICKLY ASKED US IF WE COULD ACCEPT EQ. WE SAID YES AS WE VERIFIED WE HAD CORRECT NUMBERS FOR THAT INTXN DEP. THERE WAS A LONG PREGNANT PAUSE, I THINK AS HE REALIZED WHAT HE HAD DONE. HE NEVER INDICATED TO US WE HAD DONE ANYTHING WRONG. WE WERE SUBSEQUENTLY CLRED FOR TKOF. BECAUSE WE ARE NOT 100% CERTAIN WE HEARD THE POS AND HOLD CLRNC WE FELT THIS RPT WAS WARRANTED. NEXT TIME I WON'T LET THEM RUSH ME. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 369299: THE TWR THEN CLRED US FOR TKOF. THE CAPT AND I BOTH FEEL THAT THE TWR DID CLR US INTO POS.
