Narrative:
Aircraft #1 and aircraft #2 were turned to avoid NORDO aircraft at FL330 wbound. The 2 aircraft were turned to avoid each other also. When the sits were resolved aircraft was given a normal rate of climb instruction. He was previously expediting climb. Aircraft #2 then only climbed 200 ft in about 1 min as NORDO aircraft showed up on frequency and coordination was needed in a timely manner. As coordination was taking place the conflict alert activated. Evasive action was taken again, but not in a timely manner.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR VECTORING A DC9 AND A B737 TO AVOID A NORDO ACFT AND EACH OTHER, GAVE A CLB TO THE B737 AND THEN COORD WITH ANOTHER SECTOR REGARDING THE NORDO WHO WAS NOW ON HIS FREQ. DURING THE COORD, SEPARATION WAS LOST BTWN THE CLBING B737 AND THE DC9. THE CONFLICT ALERT ACTIVATED AND EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN, BUT STANDARD SEPARATION WAS LOST.
Narrative: ACFT #1 AND ACFT #2 WERE TURNED TO AVOID NORDO ACFT AT FL330 WBOUND. THE 2 ACFT WERE TURNED TO AVOID EACH OTHER ALSO. WHEN THE SITS WERE RESOLVED ACFT WAS GIVEN A NORMAL RATE OF CLB INSTRUCTION. HE WAS PREVIOUSLY EXPEDITING CLB. ACFT #2 THEN ONLY CLBED 200 FT IN ABOUT 1 MIN AS NORDO ACFT SHOWED UP ON FREQ AND COORD WAS NEEDED IN A TIMELY MANNER. AS COORD WAS TAKING PLACE THE CONFLICT ALERT ACTIVATED. EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN AGAIN, BUT NOT IN A TIMELY MANNER.
