Narrative:
Due to ceiling, was advised to taxi to runway rarely used by me (runway 15). Was given instructions to taxi to taxiway B(?) and cross runway 8. I was distraction by dog in back seat. Wrote down 'cross runway 15.' continued taxi on taxiway C and crossed runway 15. A plane was in position for takeoff on runway 15 (may have been cleared for takeoff). Was given phone number to call. Talked to ATC supervisor, very polite. I recognized what I had done just as I was in intersection -- poorest mistake since I began flying. No corrective action available. I called tower at my destination airport (O68).

Title: PLT, DISTR BY HIS DOG IN BACK SEAT OF HIS ARROW IV, CROSSES RWY 15 AFTER HE WAS CLRED TO RWY 15, CROSS RWY 8. HE HAD WRITTEN DOWN, 'CROSS RWY 15' INSTEAD. TOOK WRONG RWY.

TALKED TO ATC SUPVR, VERY POLITE. I RECOGNIZED WHAT I HAD DONE JUST AS I WAS IN INTXN -- POOREST MISTAKE SINCE I BEGAN FLYING. NO CORRECTIVE ACTION AVAILABLE. I CALLED TWR AT MY DEST ARPT (O68).
