Narrative:
50 NM outside of phl, my first officer received the ATIS. He read it to me which included several taxiway closures. I was briefed that 'there are lots of closed txwys' which I took to mean that none would affect us. We cleared runway 27R at phl, on taxiway left. Once off the runway, we were told that we were on a closed taxiway. My first officer should have checked the closures and advised me (PF) of those txwys. I also should have required that all the closures be provided to me.
