Narrative:
While maneuvering in an area 10-12 mi northwest of the sanford, fl, airport, I made visual contact with a light twin traveling in an easterly direction. While I maintained visual contact with the twin I executed a 180 degree turn in my plane and headed south. The twin at that point was on my right at a 2 O'clock position and low. At this point the twin banked to his right to turn away from our perceived intersecting pathways. Although we had vertical and horizontal separation it appeared that the twin had taken evasive action. I did not have to. It became apparent to me that during my preceding 10 mins of flying, I had let the wind drift me sbound into what would be an extended centerline off of runway 9L at sanford.

Title: A GA SMA PLT RPTS THAT HE DRIFTED S OF HIS MANEUVER AREA AND INTO A DEP CORRIDOR AND MAY HAVE CAUSED AN SMT TWIN ACFT TO TAKE, IN THE RPTR'S OPINION, UNNECESSARY EVASIVE ACTION.
Narrative: WHILE MANEUVERING IN AN AREA 10-12 MI NW OF THE SANFORD, FL, ARPT, I MADE VISUAL CONTACT WITH A LIGHT TWIN TRAVELING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION.
