Narrative:
Approximately 3 hours into the flight (well past the point of equal time) one of the flight attendants from coach advised me that an extra passenger had been boarded in los angeles and had been placed in the lavatory for takeoff. The flight was completely full and in the confusion of the last min boarding process all seats were occupied, but the door was closed. This 'extra passenger' was a family member of one of the working flight attendants who ultimately decided to place him in the lavatory for takeoff. The disclosing flight attendant had not realized what the situation was until well after takeoff and finally in consensus with other flight attendants in coach, felt an obligation to inform me. It was decided to place a young child (2 yrs or younger) on the lap of their mother and have the 'extra passenger' occupy a regular passenger seat for landing. All flight attendant jump seats were full and my cockpit jump seat was occupied. The flight continued to destination without further incident.
