Narrative:
Approximately 75 NM northeast of atl on climb out, we were advised by atl ARTCC that the atl control tower reported that they found 'shredded rubber' on runway 27R after our departure. I consulted with our dispatcher and maintenance personnel and elected to continue to iad (our destination). I instructed the first flight attendant to prepare the passenger for a possible emergency evacuate/evacuation should conditions worsen. However, we landed safely at iad without incident.
