Narrative:

Upon selecting gear down, the nose gear position indicator did not show down and locked. The control tower controller informed us the gear appeared to be in the down position. An emergency was declared, we landed with no incident or accident and performed the emergency checklist.

Title: FLC OF A BRITISH AEROSPACE JETSTREAM BA32 MADE A LOW PASS FOR THE TWR TO OBSERVE THE POS OF THEIR NOSE GEAR SINCE IT DID NOT INDICATE DOWN. AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG WAS SUBSEQUENTLY MADE AFTER THE GND OBSERVER SAID THAT IT LOOKED DOWN AND THE FLC DECLARED AN EMER.

Narrative: UPON SELECTING GEAR DOWN, THE NOSE GEAR POS INDICATOR DID NOT SHOW DOWN AND LOCKED. THE CTL TWR CTLR INFORMED US THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE IN THE DOWN POS. AN EMER WAS DECLARED, WE LANDED WITH NO INCIDENT OR ACCIDENT AND PERFORMED THE EMER CHKLIST.
