Narrative:

While descending in IFR, we encountered moderate to severe turbulence. Radar was on at the time, no significant WX was depicted on our route of flight, however, convective activity was depicted approximately 40 mi to our east. We momentarily broke out of IFR conditions in smooth air and observed a building thunderstorm cell at our 12 O'clock position. I attempted to slow to turbulence speed (275 KTS) while starting a r-hand turn off airway. We subsequently encountered the cell and experienced sudden moderate to severe turbulence that lasted for approximately 15 seconds. All passenger were seated with seat belts fastened, there were no passenger injuries. All 4 flight attendants were up and attempting to stow equipment at that time. All 4 suffered mostly minor injuries ranging from a cut lip to the most serious, a sprained ankle. There was no time to warn the flight attendants. The aircraft suffered no visible damage. The rest of the flight was uneventful.

Title: ALL 4 FLT ATTENDANTS UP AND PERFORMING DUTIES RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES DURING UNEXPECTED TURB DURING DSCNT OF AN AIRBUS, A320. THERE WERE NO PAX INJURIES SINCE THEY WERE ALL SEATED AND BELTED IN.

Narrative: WHILE DSNDING IN IFR, WE ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TO SEVERE TURB. RADAR WAS ON AT THE TIME, NO SIGNIFICANT WX WAS DEPICTED ON OUR RTE OF FLT, HOWEVER, CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY WAS DEPICTED APPROX 40 MI TO OUR E. WE MOMENTARILY BROKE OUT OF IFR CONDITIONS IN SMOOTH AIR AND OBSERVED A BUILDING TSTM CELL AT OUR 12 O'CLOCK POS. I ATTEMPTED TO SLOW TO TURB SPD (275 KTS) WHILE STARTING A R-HAND TURN OFF AIRWAY. WE SUBSEQUENTLY ENCOUNTERED THE CELL AND EXPERIENCED SUDDEN MODERATE TO SEVERE TURB THAT LASTED FOR APPROX 15 SECONDS. ALL PAX WERE SEATED WITH SEAT BELTS FASTENED, THERE WERE NO PAX INJURIES. ALL 4 FLT ATTENDANTS WERE UP AND ATTEMPTING TO STOW EQUIP AT THAT TIME. ALL 4 SUFFERED MOSTLY MINOR INJURIES RANGING FROM A CUT LIP TO THE MOST SERIOUS, A SPRAINED ANKLE. THERE WAS NO TIME TO WARN THE FLT ATTENDANTS. THE ACFT SUFFERED NO VISIBLE DAMAGE. THE REST OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
