Narrative:

On approach and thought I was inside FAF and initiated descent to MDA. Low altitude alert issued to me by tower immediately began a climb and gathered more information on position. Discovered mistake and by this time was inside FAF and reinitiated descent. Landed without incident. How problem arose/contributing factors: incorrect identify of FAF, fatigue, stress. Corrective action: immediate climb/information gathering and checking for position orientation.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: IMMEDIATE CLB/INFO GATHERING AND CHKING FOR POS ORIENTATION.
