Narrative:
After level off, flight engineer called a system hydraulic quantity decreasing. We ran appropriate checklists, continued to decrease. Took vectors back to mia. Burned down gas, completed checklist and dumped 3000 pounds fuel. Flew ILS to runway 27L. Uneventful landing stop on runway. Pinned and towed to gate.

Title: A B727-200 AT FL270 DIVERTED DUE TO COMPLETE LOSS OF 'A' SYS HYD PRESSURE AND QUANTITY.
Narrative: AFTER LEVEL OFF, FE CALLED A SYS HYD QUANTITY DECREASING. WE RAN APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS, CONTINUED TO DECREASE. TOOK VECTORS BACK TO MIA. BURNED DOWN GAS, COMPLETED CHKLIST AND DUMPED 3000 LBS FUEL. FLEW ILS TO RWY 27L. UNEVENTFUL LNDG STOP ON RWY. PINNED AND TOWED TO GATE.
