Narrative:

Considering the state of the art in satellite imagery, the continued use of sectionals, WAC charts and terminal area charts based on mariner's charts and with a graphical depiction of the real surface is nothing short of criminal. Large parts of the west exist between 3000-7000 ft MSL with only 2 colors to differentiate between 2000 ft ranges. How it was discovered: difference between national geographic satellite photos on current charts. Incidentally, this form is based on 'flying' incidents and makes no reference to factors that affect flying. Just look at it.
