Narrative:

On descent to gulfport, ms, I was cleared for a visual approach to runway 18. I lined up on runway 14. The controller (tower) said it looks like you are lining up on runway 14, then the tower cleared me to land runway 14. The tower controller said there was no problem. The aircraft had a person talking to the pilot during approach and did not pay attention to what runway lining up on.

Title: PLT OF AN SMT TWIN INADVERTENTLY LINED UP ON A FINAL VISUAL APCH ON THE WRONG RWY. ATC NOTED THE ERROR AND CLRED THE RPTR TO LAND ON THAT RWY.

Narrative: ON DSCNT TO GULFPORT, MS, I WAS CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 18. I LINED UP ON RWY 14. THE CTLR (TWR) SAID IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE LINING UP ON RWY 14, THEN THE TWR CLRED ME TO LAND RWY 14. THE TWR CTLR SAID THERE WAS NO PROB. THE ACFT HAD A PERSON TALKING TO THE PLT DURING APCH AND DID NOT PAY ATTN TO WHAT RWY LINING UP ON.
