Narrative:

At approximately XA00 I was working local 2 at ZDV working aircraft landing runways 35L&right. At the time LLWAS was reporting 50 KT loss microbursts on final to runway 35L and I was busy working several missed approachs on that runway. Several aircraft were landing runway 26 and runway 35R. Air carrier X made a right turn eastbound into opposite traffic on final to runway 26. I immediately told the aircraft to turn back northbound and I believe no separation was lost. The aircraft told me he was executing the published missed approach, since I was busy and he could not get through to me. The problem I see here is since we often run converging ILS/visual approachs to converging runways such as runway 35R and runway 26, runway 7 and runway 16, a lost communication scenario or another situation as happened to me may happen again and could be catastrophic. A procedure must be put in place to prevent this scenario.

Title: RPTED SIT OF A POSSIBLE PROC PROB OF A MISSED APCH FROM RWY 35R TURNING INTO OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC ON APCH TO RWY 26.

Narrative: AT APPROX XA00 I WAS WORKING LCL 2 AT ZDV WORKING ACFT LNDG RWYS 35L&R. AT THE TIME LLWAS WAS RPTING 50 KT LOSS MICROBURSTS ON FINAL TO RWY 35L AND I WAS BUSY WORKING SEVERAL MISSED APCHS ON THAT RWY. SEVERAL ACFT WERE LNDG RWY 26 AND RWY 35R. ACR X MADE A R TURN EBOUND INTO OPPOSITE TFC ON FINAL TO RWY 26. I IMMEDIATELY TOLD THE ACFT TO TURN BACK NBOUND AND I BELIEVE NO SEPARATION WAS LOST. THE ACFT TOLD ME HE WAS EXECUTING THE PUBLISHED MISSED APCH, SINCE I WAS BUSY AND HE COULD NOT GET THROUGH TO ME. THE PROB I SEE HERE IS SINCE WE OFTEN RUN CONVERGING ILS/VISUAL APCHS TO CONVERGING RWYS SUCH AS RWY 35R AND RWY 26, RWY 7 AND RWY 16, A LOST COM SCENARIO OR ANOTHER SIT AS HAPPENED TO ME MAY HAPPEN AGAIN AND COULD BE CATASTROPHIC. A PROC MUST BE PUT IN PLACE TO PREVENT THIS SCENARIO.
