Narrative:
We were cleared for a visual approach to runway 11L at tus. We were backing up the visual with the ILS. We were established on course and GS. Tower called traffic turning a right base for a visual to runway 11R. We visually acquired a blue and white cessna on a dog-leg to final. Initially we noticed he was overshooting his assigned runway but then realized he was lining up on runway 11L. We turned left and descended to avoid the conflict and then initiated a go around after we were clear. The close proximity of the parallel runways made the conflict develop very quickly. Aircraft need to be sequenced staggered to these runways. The difference in the final approach speeds of these 2 aircraft caused this conflict to develop rapidly. These differences need to be considered.

Title: ACR ACFT TAKES EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID CONFLICT WITH SMA ON PARALLEL RWY VISUAL APCH. NMAC.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 11L AT TUS. WE WERE BACKING UP THE VISUAL WITH THE ILS. WE WERE ESTABLISHED ON COURSE AND GS. TWR CALLED TFC TURNING A R BASE FOR A VISUAL TO RWY 11R. WE VISUALLY ACQUIRED A BLUE AND WHITE CESSNA ON A DOG-LEG TO FINAL. INITIALLY WE NOTICED HE WAS OVERSHOOTING HIS ASSIGNED RWY BUT THEN REALIZED HE WAS LINING UP ON RWY 11L. WE TURNED L AND DSNDED TO AVOID THE CONFLICT AND THEN INITIATED A GAR AFTER WE WERE CLR. THE CLOSE PROX OF THE PARALLEL RWYS MADE THE CONFLICT DEVELOP VERY QUICKLY. ACFT NEED TO BE SEQUENCED STAGGERED TO THESE RWYS. THE DIFFERENCE IN THE FINAL APCH SPDS OF THESE 2 ACFT CAUSED THIS CONFLICT TO DEVELOP RAPIDLY. THESE DIFFERENCES NEED TO BE CONSIDERED.
