Narrative:

We were cleared to taxi from the passenger terminal at oma to runway 36. An air carrier B727 had taxied out ahead of us, but I had not heard their taxi clearance. They had been cleared to runway 32L. I followed the air carrier. After crossing runway 36, ground advised us 'cleared to runway 32L.' at that point, I realized my mistake. Fortunately, there was no conflict with landing traffic. To preclude just such a possibility, I always repeat the taxi instructions to the first officer. In this instance I did say 'taxi runway 36.' in the future, I will not assume all aircraft are taxiing to the same departure runway. Supplemental information from acn 376540: I, the first officer, was getting our takeoff performance numbers from ACARS. Contributing were: the tower/ground controller working both frequencys. Spending too much time using ACARS instead of looking outside and helping with taxi instructions. Fatigue -- this was the end of a 2-DAY trip that required a number of legs in 2 days. Having 2 runways only 40 degrees apart at such a small airport -- using both runways.

Title: MLG ACFT TAXIING FOLLOWED AN ACR ACFT ASSUMING IT WAS GOING TO THE SAME RWY, BUT IT WAS GOING TO A DIFFERENT RWY. GND CTLR ADVISED FLC THAT THEY WERE CLRED TO THE OTHER RWY AND THEY HAD CROSSED A RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED TO TAXI FROM THE PAX TERMINAL AT OMA TO RWY 36. AN ACR B727 HAD TAXIED OUT AHEAD OF US, BUT I HAD NOT HEARD THEIR TAXI CLRNC. THEY HAD BEEN CLRED TO RWY 32L. I FOLLOWED THE ACR. AFTER XING RWY 36, GND ADVISED US 'CLRED TO RWY 32L.' AT THAT POINT, I REALIZED MY MISTAKE. FORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH LNDG TFC. TO PRECLUDE JUST SUCH A POSSIBILITY, I ALWAYS REPEAT THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO THE FO. IN THIS INSTANCE I DID SAY 'TAXI RWY 36.' IN THE FUTURE, I WILL NOT ASSUME ALL ACFT ARE TAXIING TO THE SAME DEP RWY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 376540: I, THE FO, WAS GETTING OUR TKOF PERFORMANCE NUMBERS FROM ACARS. CONTRIBUTING WERE: THE TWR/GND CTLR WORKING BOTH FREQS. SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME USING ACARS INSTEAD OF LOOKING OUTSIDE AND HELPING WITH TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. FATIGUE -- THIS WAS THE END OF A 2-DAY TRIP THAT REQUIRED A NUMBER OF LEGS IN 2 DAYS. HAVING 2 RWYS ONLY 40 DEGS APART AT SUCH A SMALL ARPT -- USING BOTH RWYS.
