Narrative:
In VFR conditions at 9000 ft MSL, the #1 engine oil low pressure alerts illuminated. The engine was shut down as per the emergency checklist. Cabin crew was notified and passenger informed of the precautionary engine shutdown. We declared an emergency with approach control and were cleared to land. We landed single engine and taxied to the gate.

Narrative: IN VFR CONDITIONS AT 9000 FT MSL, THE #1 ENG OIL LOW PRESSURE ALERTS ILLUMINATED. THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN AS PER THE EMER CHKLIST. CABIN CREW WAS NOTIFIED AND PAX INFORMED OF THE PRECAUTIONARY ENG SHUTDOWN. WE DECLARED AN EMER WITH APCH CTL AND WERE CLRED TO LAND. WE LANDED SINGLE ENG AND TAXIED TO THE GATE.
