Narrative:

At cruise, 17000 ft, got a fire indication on the right engine. Performed memory items. Notified ATC and declared an emergency. Notified flight attendant with an ETA of 15 mins and an emergency evacuate/evacuation after an emergency landing. Performed engine fire checklist and proceeded to mansfield, oh. We talked to dispatch and told them we were diverting to mansfield. After a review of the airport, we decided to change our diversion airport to cak. We performed our 1 engine inoperative descent check and decided runway 1 was best for winds and distance. Performed our approach check and were vectored onto the ILS runway 1 approach. We completed the landing check and made a single engine landing to a complete stop on the runway. All the fire equipment met us on the runway and sprayed us with foam. We commenced the emergency evacuate/evacuation and got all the passenger out safely to the far left of the aircraft. No passenger injuries were noticed or reported. Supplemental information from acn 473369: maintenance looked at the fire loop afterwards and discovered a chip. It looks like the fire loop was chafing against some engine parts and may have given us a faulty indication. We never saw flames, but still did not want to 'question' the light's validity.
