Narrative:
While working a radar position air traffic controller received a loud, unprovoked tone through the headset. It did damage the left ear. The controller left work on workers comp to seek medical help. This is the fifth (at least) time this has occurred at sct.

Title: TRACON CTLR RECEIVED A LOUD TONE THROUGH THE HEADSET IN THE L EAR CAUSING THE CTLR TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP. THE RPTR CLAIMS THIS HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THE PAST.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING A RADAR POS AIR TFC CTLR RECEIVED A LOUD, UNPROVOKED TONE THROUGH THE HEADSET. IT DID DAMAGE THE L EAR. THE CTLR LEFT WORK ON WORKERS COMP TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP. THIS IS THE FIFTH (AT LEAST) TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED AT SCT.
