Narrative:
Pilot and myself on my training flight to nyc. Seaplane base at 23RD street. WX fast approaching from southwest. We called flight watch at bridgeport as we came through their airspace. We got other WX through ATIS, decided to go to westchester county in white planes to hold over. Landed in a wind of 290 degrees at 10 KTS gusting to 20 KTS. Then taxi to the hangar, about 5 mins. As we got there, a very strong thunderstorm hit the airport with winds up to 50 mph. Aircraft was tipped over on its right wing. We climbed out unhurt and 10 mins later as the storm went by, rolled the aircraft right side up. We then had the aircraft pulled into hangar and called the NTSB and FAA and company. We had the controls in the proper position at all times and were taxiing at a slow speed.
