Narrative:
Inbound crew reported #1 ILS inoperative. I deferred captain's flight director ILS. I did not ask enough questions and after aircraft left, found out both ADI and HSI ILS's were inoperative. Per MEL for both indicators having problems either the localizer or GS must be operative. Aircraft left ZZZ to xyz where aircraft was repaired without incident.
