Narrative:

While doing some slight deviating for isolated thunderstorms we were reclred after deviation to proceed direct jhuan intersection, direct sus. This was in the vicinity of the mwa VOR en route from sdf to sus. We looked in our INS database, high altitude commercial chart, low altitude commercial chart, st louis airport chart, arrival stars for stl, but could not find jhuan. During this process I asked ATC for a radial and DME off of a VOR, but ATC wasn't exactly sure where it was except 'around 300 degrees and 45 or 50 mi from mwa.' finally, I had to ask for a vector to it and acknowledge we were unable to find it. After arrival, I talked to ZKC. They had to call me back 15 mins later to tell me they couldn't find it either, but that it did exist as of jul/xx/97. It was listed as 1 of 55 non airway intxns in chart NOTAMS. ATC was using it, but it had not been published on any government or private chart service.

Title: A FALCON 50 IN CRUISE WAS DIRECTED BY ATC TO AN INTXN THAT WAS NOT LISTED ON CURRENT CHARTS OR PROGRAMMED IN THE FMS.

Narrative: WHILE DOING SOME SLIGHT DEVIATING FOR ISOLATED TSTMS WE WERE RECLRED AFTER DEV TO PROCEED DIRECT JHUAN INTXN, DIRECT SUS. THIS WAS IN THE VICINITY OF THE MWA VOR ENRTE FROM SDF TO SUS. WE LOOKED IN OUR INS DATABASE, HIGH ALT COMMERCIAL CHART, LOW ALT COMMERCIAL CHART, ST LOUIS ARPT CHART, ARR STARS FOR STL, BUT COULD NOT FIND JHUAN. DURING THIS PROCESS I ASKED ATC FOR A RADIAL AND DME OFF OF A VOR, BUT ATC WASN'T EXACTLY SURE WHERE IT WAS EXCEPT 'AROUND 300 DEGS AND 45 OR 50 MI FROM MWA.' FINALLY, I HAD TO ASK FOR A VECTOR TO IT AND ACKNOWLEDGE WE WERE UNABLE TO FIND IT. AFTER ARR, I TALKED TO ZKC. THEY HAD TO CALL ME BACK 15 MINS LATER TO TELL ME THEY COULDN'T FIND IT EITHER, BUT THAT IT DID EXIST AS OF JUL/XX/97. IT WAS LISTED AS 1 OF 55 NON AIRWAY INTXNS IN CHART NOTAMS.
