Narrative:
I took off on a sod airport with a downhill grade. I raised the tail too high, hit a bump and propeller hit the ground causing aircraft to FLIP over on back. I plan additional tailwheel training.

Title: PVT PLT OF A BOEING PT17 STEARMAN BIPLANE LOST CTL WHEN HITTING A BUMP WITH THE PROP ON A SOD STRIP DURING THE TKOF ROLL. THE ACFT SUBSEQUENTLY FLIPPED OVER. ACFT DAMAGE UNKNOWN.
Narrative: I TOOK OFF ON A SOD ARPT WITH A DOWNHILL GRADE. I RAISED THE TAIL TOO HIGH, HIT A BUMP AND PROP HIT THE GND CAUSING ACFT TO FLIP OVER ON BACK. I PLAN ADDITIONAL TAILWHEEL TRAINING.
