Narrative:
Tower cleared us for takeoff and at approximately 100 KTS directed us to abort the takeoff due to the fact that he cleared another aircraft by mistake to cross down field on runway 18L at taxiway a. Abort was smooth and uneventful and no other problems encountered. We were instructed to taxi back for another takeoff and finished the flight with no further problems.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN ACR MD80 FLC WAS CLRED TO TKOF THEN TOLD TO REJECT BECAUSE OF XING TFC ON RWY 18L. THE CTLR, APPARENTLY, FORGOT THAT THE OTHER TFC HAD BEEN CLRED TO CROSS EARLIER.
Narrative: TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF AND AT APPROX 100 KTS DIRECTED US TO ABORT THE TKOF DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE CLRED ANOTHER ACFT BY MISTAKE TO CROSS DOWN FIELD ON RWY 18L AT TXWY A. ABORT WAS SMOOTH AND UNEVENTFUL AND NO OTHER PROBS ENCOUNTERED. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO TAXI BACK FOR ANOTHER TKOF AND FINISHED THE FLT WITH NO FURTHER PROBS.
