Narrative:

I signed a release that had a cruise altitude of FL370. The aircraft is only certified to FL350. I had extra fuel of 2500 pounds plus an alternate, plus our standard reserve of 4000 pounds of fuel. So I did not get an amended release. We are in the process of getting a new computer system at work so this slipped past the dispatcher. I saw the discrepancy and did not amend the release because I had so much extra fuel. I should have gotten an amended release.
