Narrative:
On military assigned coastal patrol, northbound about 1.5 mi offshore along coast of san diego from pt loma. Called lindberg tower about 1 mi south of ocean beach pier for transition through class B airspace on their departure route. Was advised I was about 1 mi inside class B. For the past 2 yrs I have been making this call at this point and this is the first time anything has been said. When transitioning sbound have always been told to 'advise abeam ocean beach pier' and am then told 'leaving class B in 1 mi, squawk 1200.' won't make that mistake again.
