Narrative:

I took off with reduced visibility near sunset with heavy cloud cover and humid, hazy atmosphere. Objects around the ramp and txwys were difficult to make out clearly. All fairly normal. I elected to land on the other runway which aligned with the wind. While rolling out near the intersection with my takeoff runway I stopped suddenly when I saw a low barricade across the runway. Next morning inspection revealed white cloth X's upon the white runway numbers, confusing.
