Narrative:
Center asked us to cross puttz intersection at FL240. Initiated descent abeam dilnn intersection at FL330. We crossed puttz at FL270 after I misread DME from aml VORTAC and after switching from bkw VORTAC. We notified center we would not make restr altitude puttz when we realized our error. Supplemental information from acn 380539: copilot was descending and misread DME on the plate. I caught the error too late to correct the mistake.

Title: LGT ACFT WITH CLRNC FOR DSCNT AND XING RESTR MISSED RESTR WHEN PF, FO, MISREAD DME. FLC ADVISED ATC.
Narrative: CTR ASKED US TO CROSS PUTTZ INTXN AT FL240. INITIATED DSCNT ABEAM DILNN INTXN AT FL330. WE CROSSED PUTTZ AT FL270 AFTER I MISREAD DME FROM AML VORTAC AND AFTER SWITCHING FROM BKW VORTAC. WE NOTIFIED CTR WE WOULD NOT MAKE RESTR ALT PUTTZ WHEN WE REALIZED OUR ERROR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 380539: COPLT WAS DSNDING AND MISREAD DME ON THE PLATE. I CAUGHT THE ERROR TOO LATE TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE.
