Narrative:
When contacted tower at lax on visual approach to runway 25L, was cleared to land, but told runway lights OTS -- land at own risk. Asked for runway 25R and was told they were also OTS. Runway was quite visible and still a lot of light, so thinking all runways' lights OTS, and with no alternate fuel planned, and being in lax, decided safer and more prudent to land than go around and wait for lights to come on. Uneventful landing but upon checking found out official sunset was XX44. Our operations specifications say if after 20 mins from official sunset, need runway lights. I missed this by 6 mins, landed at XY10, 26 mins after official sunset. In-flight not really knowing official sunset and having a lot of light available and my fuel situation, I feel I did the prudent and safe thing by landing the aircraft.
