Narrative:
I departed mky for eyw and took a heading of 160 degrees and climbed to 4500 ft. I contacted ZMA for VFR flight following and I received squawk code and radar contact requested direct to eyw. I did not file DVFR for the fact that there was an ADIZ free zone. I errored the position of the eastern ADIZ boundary, therefore penetrating the east side of the ADIZ. I did not receive any communication from ZMA that I was possibly penetrating the ADIZ area. I was handed off to key west approach and then to key west international tower. Upon landing and parking, I went into the FBO and reviewed the ADIZ free zone area airmet and realized I had penetrated the ADIZ without DVFR flight plan. Oct/fri/97, at XX30 pm I departed eyw for mky via mth, X01, thereby insuring that I was clear of the ADIZ. I received ZMA flight following to mky without incident. This inadvertent penetration was in no way deliberate or intentional and I was under radar tracking at all times in-flight.

Title: PA24 ACFT ERRONEOUSLY PENETRATED ADIZ WITHOUT FLT PLAN, BUT WAS IN RADAR CONTACT WITH CTR AND SQUAWKING ASSIGNED CODE.
Narrative: I DEPARTED MKY FOR EYW AND TOOK A HDG OF 160 DEGS AND CLBED TO 4500 FT. I CONTACTED ZMA FOR VFR FLT FOLLOWING AND I RECEIVED SQUAWK CODE AND RADAR CONTACT REQUESTED DIRECT TO EYW. I DID NOT FILE DVFR FOR THE FACT THAT THERE WAS AN ADIZ FREE ZONE. I ERRORED THE POS OF THE EASTERN ADIZ BOUNDARY, THEREFORE PENETRATING THE E SIDE OF THE ADIZ. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY COM FROM ZMA THAT I WAS POSSIBLY PENETRATING THE ADIZ AREA. I WAS HANDED OFF TO KEY WEST APCH AND THEN TO KEY WEST INTL TWR. UPON LNDG AND PARKING, I WENT INTO THE FBO AND REVIEWED THE ADIZ FREE ZONE AREA AIRMET AND REALIZED I HAD PENETRATED THE ADIZ WITHOUT DVFR FLT PLAN. OCT/FRI/97, AT XX30 PM I DEPARTED EYW FOR MKY VIA MTH, X01, THEREBY INSURING THAT I WAS CLR OF THE ADIZ. I RECEIVED ZMA FLT FOLLOWING TO MKY WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS INADVERTENT PENETRATION WAS IN NO WAY DELIBERATE OR INTENTIONAL AND I WAS UNDER RADAR TRACKING AT ALL TIMES INFLT.
