Narrative:

Flight of 2 globe GC1B's left california en route to geo. One aircraft, flight lead, had experienced landing gear difficulty en route. I, as wingman, observed each takeoff/landing of flight leader for gear malfunction (4 flts). Last flight leader had to leave gear down. I was so intent on leader landing safely that I absolutely forgot my own gear. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was a globe GC1B and after the aircraft was jacked and the landing gear operated it was found the landing gear unsafe light system was inoperative due to a failed throttle switch. The reporter said the aircraft incurred minor damage and no injuries involved.
