B757 aircraft after landing instructed to turn off on taxiway right and when doing so, saw aircraft lights landing on intersecting runway were observed so reporter flight crew held short. Tower had landing aircraft go around and reporter aircraft cross runway. Frequency congestion interfered with communication.

Narrative:

Landed runway 22R ord and slowed to turn off at high speed. Tower then instructed to continue to taxiway right to turnoff. Continued down runway 22R and as approached runway 27R, saw landing lights touching down on runway 27R. Not knowing if other aircraft was to hold short of runway 22R, so for safety, stopped short of runway 27R on runway 22R. Frequency busy and could not inform tower. Tower then instructed aircraft to go around and us to cross runway 27R and exit taxiway right to ramp and gate.
