Narrative:

Received departure SID other than departure expected and filed for. Departure briefing complicated by lack of APU requiring ground pneumatics and subsequent xbleed starts. Further complications included having new-hire copilot who was receiving IOE. Takeoff profile had been a previous debriefing item. Combination of items mixed with copilot asking questions during climb out, distraction me from SID instructions. Missed 8 NM turn point. ATC reminded me at approximately 12-13 NM. No conflicting traffic. Did not realize I was becoming task saturated. Took airplane from copilot during climb so he could sight-see. Had idea, without confirming, where I was and what was next.
