Narrative:

North of lax we were cleared for visual runway 24R lax. While on base I checked final for traffic. While doing so I overshot final for runway 24R and crossed final for runway 25R. I realized my error immediately and corrected back for final runway 24R. Captain was busy with checklist so missed my error. The overshoot could have been avoided by a 'shallower intercept angle.'

I REALIZED MY ERROR IMMEDIATELY AND CORRECTED BACK FOR FINAL RWY 24R. CAPT WAS BUSY WITH CHKLIST SO MISSED MY ERROR. THE OVERSHOOT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY A 'SHALLOWER INTERCEPT ANGLE.'
