Narrative:

During normal climb out from stl gear door light illuminated after gear handle to off. Handle repositioned to up, gear door light out. Cycled landing gear, same indications. Contacted mci maintenance. Instructed to land at mci for repairs. After repairs complete, during climb out, same duplicated indications. Returned to mci. Aircraft turned over to maintenance. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was a B727-200 and does not have any information on the corrective action taken by maintenance.

Narrative: DURING NORMAL CLBOUT FROM STL GEAR DOOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER GEAR HANDLE TO OFF. HANDLE REPOSITIONED TO UP, GEAR DOOR LIGHT OUT. CYCLED LNDG GEAR, SAME INDICATIONS. CONTACTED MCI MAINT. INSTRUCTED TO LAND AT MCI FOR REPAIRS. AFTER REPAIRS COMPLETE, DURING CLBOUT, SAME DUPLICATED INDICATIONS. RETURNED TO MCI. ACFT TURNED OVER TO MAINT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS A B727-200 AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY INFO ON THE CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN BY MAINT.
