Narrative:

Cruise #2 engine had continuous compressor stall -- spooled back with rising egt. We followed qrc and got dispatch/maintenance on satcom. No engine limits exceeded. Successfully completed restart. Engine ran fine for a few mins then compressor stalled again. Accomplished appropriate checklists while informing dispatch/maintenance. Received ATC clearance direct sfo; dumped fuel; informed flight attendants and passenger; made normal approach and landing. No emergency was declared and no emergency equipment requested.
