Narrative:
I was a CFI checking out another CFI in an RC112A. I was the PNF sitting in the left seat. We departed bfi and spent about an hour doing steep turns, stalls, and emergency gear extensions. We then proceeded to jefferson county for pattern work. The CFI flying was doing a good job. At jefferson county, we stayed in the pattern for about 5 lndgs. I was watching for traffic and calling out the airspds since the asi was on the far left. During our last landing I became focused on the traffic and the asi. The CFI in the right seat simply forgot to put the landing gear down. The aircraft received minor damage to the hull plus sudden engine stoppage. This is not classified as an accident nor is it a reportable incident. Contributing factors: I had already mentally 'soloed' the CFI so I was not watching him closely enough. A pilot was entering a 'long base entry' into a busy pattern. We were also on base so I was concerned with a collision. Poor CRM between 2 qualified pilots. Both relied on the other pilot and the gap was the landing gear.

Title: AN RC112A ON APCH FAILED TO EXTEND THE LNDG GEAR INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE HULL AND PROP DURING SUDDEN ENG STOPPAGE.
Narrative: I WAS A CFI CHKING OUT ANOTHER CFI IN AN RC112A. I WAS THE PNF SITTING IN THE L SEAT. WE DEPARTED BFI AND SPENT ABOUT AN HR DOING STEEP TURNS, STALLS, AND EMER GEAR EXTENSIONS. WE THEN PROCEEDED TO JEFFERSON COUNTY FOR PATTERN WORK. THE CFI FLYING WAS DOING A GOOD JOB. AT JEFFERSON COUNTY, WE STAYED IN THE PATTERN FOR ABOUT 5 LNDGS. I WAS WATCHING FOR TFC AND CALLING OUT THE AIRSPDS SINCE THE ASI WAS ON THE FAR L. DURING OUR LAST LNDG I BECAME FOCUSED ON THE TFC AND THE ASI. THE CFI IN THE R SEAT SIMPLY FORGOT TO PUT THE LNDG GEAR DOWN. THE ACFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE HULL PLUS SUDDEN ENG STOPPAGE. THIS IS NOT CLASSIFIED AS AN ACCIDENT NOR IS IT A REPORTABLE INCIDENT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: I HAD ALREADY MENTALLY 'SOLOED' THE CFI SO I WAS NOT WATCHING HIM CLOSELY ENOUGH. A PLT WAS ENTERING A 'LONG BASE ENTRY' INTO A BUSY PATTERN. WE WERE ALSO ON BASE SO I WAS CONCERNED WITH A COLLISION. POOR CRM BTWN 2 QUALIFIED PLTS. BOTH RELIED ON THE OTHER PLT AND THE GAP WAS THE LNDG GEAR.
