Narrative:
About 30 mins out of msp towards dfw. On climb out after departing msp en route to dfw, ZMP cleared us to climb to FL230, or so we thought and both pilots confirmed that flight level as per SOP. We leveled off at FL230 for about 10 mins, at which time ZMP asked if we had started our climb to FL330. We denied having received that clearance, and then climbed to FL330 as per their request.
