Narrative:

After MD82 pushback from gate, ground control advised a push clearance was required. However, according to the airport diagram (commercial chart) it shows otherwise, when being pushed to circle. Callback conversation with dtw tower revealed the following information: confirmed with the supervisor that the subject gate did require ground controller clearance. Apparently gates that are at the end of the concourses and in close proximity to the txwys require ground controller clearance but gates close into the hub do not.

Title: MD82 ACFT PUSHED BACK FROM GATE AND WAS ADVISED AFTERWARD BY GND CTLR THAT GND CTLR CLRNC WAS REQUIRED. FLC BELIEVES THAT WHERE THEY WERE PUSHED TO DIDN'T REQUIRE CLRNC.

Narrative: AFTER MD82 PUSHBACK FROM GATE, GND CTL ADVISED A PUSH CLRNC WAS REQUIRED. HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO THE ARPT DIAGRAM (COMMERCIAL CHART) IT SHOWS OTHERWISE, WHEN BEING PUSHED TO CIRCLE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH DTW TWR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CONFIRMED WITH THE SUPVR THAT THE SUBJECT GATE DID REQUIRE GND CTLR CLRNC.
