Narrative:
Accepted aircraft from previous crew with 2 maintenance write-ups - - green system hydraulic fluid indicator gauge slowly decreasing and service door light comes on in-flight. Aircraft was cleared of these 2 write-ups and properly signed off. Departed gate for destination. Within 3 mins of taxi out green hydraulic system fluid gauge was showing decreasing levels of fluid. Returned to gate. Maintenance again worked on problem replacing the gauge and rechking hydraulic fluid level. Departed again, this time on climb out we felt an unusual vibration. I knew what it was. Returned for landing and found nosewheel landing gear clam shell doors open. Maintenance resecured doors to internal bell cranks, inspected them, then we departed again for destination. I personally inspected all panels before we left the second time. I saw the nosewheel doors down but they were latched (door handles closed and locked). I had no reason to doubt they would not retract upon hydraulic system pressurization -- this is the norm.

Title: AN EMB120 WAS DISPATCHED AFTER MAINT WITH THE NOSE LNDG GEAR DOORS LOCKED IN THE OPEN POS.
Narrative: ACCEPTED ACFT FROM PREVIOUS CREW WITH 2 MAINT WRITE-UPS - - GREEN SYS HYD FLUID INDICATOR GAUGE SLOWLY DECREASING AND SVC DOOR LIGHT COMES ON INFLT. ACFT WAS CLRED OF THESE 2 WRITE-UPS AND PROPERLY SIGNED OFF. DEPARTED GATE FOR DEST. WITHIN 3 MINS OF TAXI OUT GREEN HYD SYS FLUID GAUGE WAS SHOWING DECREASING LEVELS OF FLUID. RETURNED TO GATE. MAINT AGAIN WORKED ON PROB REPLACING THE GAUGE AND RECHKING HYD FLUID LEVEL. DEPARTED AGAIN, THIS TIME ON CLBOUT WE FELT AN UNUSUAL VIBRATION. I KNEW WHAT IT WAS. RETURNED FOR LNDG AND FOUND NOSEWHEEL LNDG GEAR CLAM SHELL DOORS OPEN. MAINT RESECURED DOORS TO INTERNAL BELL CRANKS, INSPECTED THEM, THEN WE DEPARTED AGAIN FOR DEST. I PERSONALLY INSPECTED ALL PANELS BEFORE WE LEFT THE SECOND TIME. I SAW THE NOSEWHEEL DOORS DOWN BUT THEY WERE LATCHED (DOOR HANDLES CLOSED AND LOCKED). I HAD NO REASON TO DOUBT THEY WOULD NOT RETRACT UPON HYD SYS PRESSURIZATION -- THIS IS THE NORM.
