Narrative:
We were an emergency aircraft diverting into dfw. Approach control cleared us for the visual approach to runway 17R dfw. We were approaching from the east. Approach control then told us another plane was on a visual to runway 17C, coming from the west and could we slow to 160 KTS. We did not see traffic and needed to get on the ground. We said unable. Approach cleared another aircraft in front of an emergency aircraft, through our flight path and altitude. Unsafe. Called approach supervisor and he said west side approach sent the other jet over. What is the problem? East side not talking to west side? This was unsafe.
