Narrative:
B737 landed on runway 23 before we were off and clear of same runway. Neither I or the first officer were aware of the traffic being that close behind. Tower made no comments or directives to us or the aircraft behind us. The B737 pilots made no comments either. We did not use a lot of runway and cleared at 'bravo,' where the dash 8's usually do. I talked to tower on phone, later, and was disappointed at his attitude. I was unable to get him to admit that a few words from him to us and to the B737 would have allowed a greater distance between the two aircraft.
