Narrative:
Initial descent to stl airport. The captain was on #2 radio to get the ATIS. During that time I was monitoring #1 radio (in contact with ZKC) I never heard anything. 5-10 mins later, the captain called stl approach which gave us another kansas city frequency. We contacted them and they told us to call stl approach. No further incident. After landing, our company dispatch advised us that ZKC had called about us.
