Narrative:
While descending to 9000 ft, ATC said we were going through 8400 ft. After checking altimeter setting, found that was set at 30.46, local altimeter was 29.46 (readjusted altimeter). I noted to myself that I'm going to have to be more disciplined with altimeter settings. It could be very hazardous.

Title: AN SMT DSNDING IN ZID AIRSPACE FAILS TO RESET HIS ALTIMETER AND HAS AN ALTDEV.
Narrative: WHILE DSNDING TO 9000 FT, ATC SAID WE WERE GOING THROUGH 8400 FT. AFTER CHKING ALTIMETER SETTING, FOUND THAT WAS SET AT 30.46, LCL ALTIMETER WAS 29.46 (READJUSTED ALTIMETER). I NOTED TO MYSELF THAT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO BE MORE DISCIPLINED WITH ALTIMETER SETTINGS. IT COULD BE VERY HAZARDOUS.
