Narrative:

Pack overheated. Smoke in cabin. Since not a meal flight, ovens not on. Problem solved quickly. Communication was key element. Crew coordination good. Training definite factor since coordinator was relatively new to the position. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the #2 air conditioning pack was the cause of the light smoke in the cabin. The reporter said the #2 pack air cycle machine discharge temperature indicator was deferred as inoperative so the crew could not monitor the air cycle machine performance. The reporter stated it may be possible a overheated air cycle machine caused the smoke.
