Narrative:
Experienced a vibration on nosewheel on gear retraction in dca. Planned to land cautiously in btv. Did not declare an emergency but asked for crash fire rescue equipment to stand by at firehouse. ATC declared emergency but did not tell crew. Passenger were not briefed but became nervous when truck from crash fire rescue equipment followed aircraft to gate.

Title: AN ACR FLC IN AN MDT EXPERIENCED NOSEWHEEL VIBRATION ON DEP AND REQUEST EMER EQUIP AT THEIR DEST. THE LNDG WAS SUCCESSFUL AND EQUIP FOLLOWED THE FLC TO THE GATE.
Narrative: EXPERIENCED A VIBRATION ON NOSEWHEEL ON GEAR RETRACTION IN DCA. PLANNED TO LAND CAUTIOUSLY IN BTV. DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER BUT ASKED FOR CFR TO STAND BY AT FIREHOUSE. ATC DECLARED EMER BUT DID NOT TELL CREW. PAX WERE NOT BRIEFED BUT BECAME NERVOUS WHEN TRUCK FROM CFR FOLLOWED ACFT TO GATE.
