Narrative:
After landing runway 31R at dfw, flight was cleared to use taxiway Y and hold short of runway 35C. Flight was then cleared across runway 35C, short of runway 35L. Flight was later cleared across runway 35L behind an ATR72. After the ATR cleared runway 35L, it stopped short of taxiway left leaving no room for our EMB120 to get across the hold short line. Tower then cleared a B727 for takeoff on runway 35L. We immediately advised tower that we were not clear. Tower replied 'I show you clear and that's all I need.' the ATR eventually pulled forward and we cleared the runway safety zone. Local controller continued to clear aircraft for takeoff during this time. If a departing aircraft had aborted, a collision would have resulted.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: EMB120RT ACFT TAXIING AFTER LNDG WAS CLRED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY WHEN A PRECEDING ATR72 STOPPED SHORT OF TXWY, NOT ALLOWING ROOM FOR RPTR ACFT TO COMPLETELY CLR THE RWY. WHEN RPTR HEARD TWR CLR AN ACFT FOR TKOF HE ALERTED THEM THAT THEIR ACFT WAS NOT CLR. TWR RESPONDED THAT THEY WERE CLR ENOUGH.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG RWY 31R AT DFW, FLT WAS CLRED TO USE TXWY Y AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 35C. FLT WAS THEN CLRED ACROSS RWY 35C, SHORT OF RWY 35L. FLT WAS LATER CLRED ACROSS RWY 35L BEHIND AN ATR72. AFTER THE ATR CLRED RWY 35L, IT STOPPED SHORT OF TXWY L LEAVING NO ROOM FOR OUR EMB120 TO GET ACROSS THE HOLD SHORT LINE. TWR THEN CLRED A B727 FOR TKOF ON RWY 35L. WE IMMEDIATELY ADVISED TWR THAT WE WERE NOT CLR. TWR REPLIED 'I SHOW YOU CLR AND THAT'S ALL I NEED.' THE ATR EVENTUALLY PULLED FORWARD AND WE CLRED THE RWY SAFETY ZONE. LCL CTLR CONTINUED TO CLR ACFT FOR TKOF DURING THIS TIME. IF A DEPARTING ACFT HAD ABORTED, A COLLISION WOULD HAVE RESULTED.
