Narrative:
PF climbed through 10000 ft to 10300 ft before returning to 10000 ft assigned altitude. Missed turn to assigned radial at the same time. Major factor was an internal radio problem that diverted his attention away from primary duties.

Title: B737-200 ACFT ON DEP HAD RADIO PROBS WHICH, ACCORDING TO RPTR FO PNF, DIVERTED THE PF'S ATTN RESULTING IN AN ALTDEV AND HDG DEV.
Narrative: PF CLBED THROUGH 10000 FT TO 10300 FT BEFORE RETURNING TO 10000 FT ASSIGNED ALT. MISSED TURN TO ASSIGNED RADIAL AT THE SAME TIME. MAJOR FACTOR WAS AN INTERNAL RADIO PROB THAT DIVERTED HIS ATTN AWAY FROM PRIMARY DUTIES.
