Narrative:
While being vectored to final at phl, we were asked if we had a citation in sight. We had him in sight. We were given an airspeed and cleared for the visual to runway 27R. On short final we realized that the citation had slowed way down, looked like we were about 1 - 1 1/2 mi back, but closing rapidly. Around 1200 ft AGL, tower asked if we could transition to the left. We said yes and landed on runway 27L. No further problems were noted.

Title: A FOKKER 100 ACFT FOLLOWING A CITATION ACFT GETS CLOSER AS THEY BOTH FLY THE APCH TO THE SAME RWY AT PHL. AS THE DISTANCE DECREASES, THE FOKKER 100 SIDESTEPS TO LAND ON THE ADJACENT RWY.
