Narrative:

Location: mia gate. I had just returned from inspecting an item in the aft cabin. I sat down in my seat and the first officer called for a pushback. We were told to hold. Almost immediately we were told to push reference a B757. I told the tow driver that we were cleared to push reference a B757. I did not tell him that the parking brake was released. The tow driver did not inquire regarding the parking brake. When the tow driver attempted to push the aircraft with the parking brake parked, the tow bar bent and damaged the aircraft. I was distraction by my trip to the aft cabin and allowed myself to be rushed.
